Book Benefit to Support Avi Schaefer Fund this August

This month of August, Weeping Willow Books will donate 5% of the proceeds from purchases of Arthur Gross Schaefer's Rabbi Daniels Mysteries, The Rabbi Wore Moccasins and The Rabbi Wore a Fedora, to The Avi Schaefer Fund (ASF). ASF was set up by Arthur and his wife, Laurie Gross, to honor and carry on the legacy of their son, Avi Schaefer, whose life was tragically cut short in 2010 when he was hit by a drunken driver. ASF develops and supports projects that work toward the fulfillment of his dream of peace in the world. If you are in the Santa Barbara area, you are invited to an afternoon celebration of Avi’s life and fundraiser for ASF at the Gross Schaefer home, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday,
