Marcia Meier, Editor & Publisher

Marcia Meier is an award-winning author, editor, and publisher of Weeping Willow Books. Marcia started Weeping Willow Books in 2016 to help her clients realize the dream of publishing their work.
 

A former journalist and longtime professional writer, Marcia's multiple award-winning memoir, Face, was published in 2021 by Saddle Road Press.

Marcia's other books include Ireland, Place Out of Time (2017); Heart on a Fence (2016), Navigating the Rough Waters of Today's Publishing World, Critical Advice for Writers from Industry Insiders (2010) and Santa Barbara, Paradise on the Pacific (1996). She has also edited two anthologies, Writing Through the Apocalypse, Pandemic Poetry and Prose (2023) and the award-winning Unmasked, Women Write About Sex and Intimacy After Fifty, with Kathleen A. Barry, Ph.D. (2018).

Marcia has freelanced or written for numerous publications, including the Los Angeles Times, The Writer magazine, Santa Barbara Magazine, Pacific Standard Magazine online, Medium, Searchlight of New Mexico, The Huffington Post and Thrive, among others.
 

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and an MFA in creative writing, and has taught writing for many years.
